Dr. Krista Glazewski, Associate Professor and Department Chair of the Instructional Systems Technology Program in the IU School of Education is a strong example of a mentor and advocate. As a mentor she’s encouraging, empowering, accessible, caring and joyful in her interactions with those she’s mentoring as she teaches them how to navigate challenges in academia. However, as an advocate she goes above and beyond to shine a spotlight on her “sponsorees,” open doors to opportunities, promote equity, recommend them for larger roles, and encourage them to take risks.
For working tirelessly behind the scenes to serve in the role of both mentor and advocate, the Center of Excellence for Women & Technology is proud to honor Dr. Krista Glazewski as the 2020 Outstanding Faculty Mentor/ Advocate Award winner.
