Project Description

Climate change is causing stronger and more variable storm events in the Great Lakes region. We have generated a survey that collects information about storm, flooding, erosion and heat risk perception and recent (5 year) history with storm-related impacts on critical infrastructure near where people live. Some of the survey segments have been or are being analyzed by other students. This project involves taking the results of the survey and analyzing pieces or questions that have not yet been addressed, considering what interesting correlations exist, and linking the results of the survey to the published literature. Skills you will be trained on and work with will include: research in the relevant peer reviewed literature, survey analysis, data presentation, and results summarization. You may also be able to contribute to a peer reviewed publication on the survey.

Technology or Computational Component

Tools we will use include zoom, OneDrive, Office 365, and whatever presentation programs you choose to utilize (powerpoint, Excel typically).Analysis might be using NVivo or other similar software.
