Project Description
Our research will focus on studying how the brain changes over evolutionary time to regulate social behavior across sex. Towards this end we will be studying the fundamental neural mechanisms that drive behavior across biological levels. Most of the research we do is studying brain regions in local songbirds.
Technology or Computational Component
This research will touch on a variety of bioinformatic computational and cutting-edge analytical approaches in big data. We will be using a range statistical tools in R and command line functions on the high performance computing platforms. Generally, this work will involve getting comfortable with big datasets and visualizations.
