Project Description
Mental health has gripped the nation as a significant public health crisis. However, therapists who are trained to help address the mental health crisis are in a significant shortage. In this project, students will aim to leverage generative artificial intelligence techniques to automatically develop mental health therapists that can generate therapeutic content and services that aligns with prevailing mental health principles and guidelines. The Samtani lab holds weekly lab meetings at 9:00 AM on Fridays.
Technology or Computational Component
Interaction with large language models and generative AI models through APIs. Some aspects of web development may be part of the project to help present the AI-enabled mental health therapist.
