Project Description

This project focuses on broadening participation in computing. We examine state level data in Indiana around the gender, race, SES of students enrolling in computer science courses. Hopefully, this work leads to a better understanding of how to support schools and teachers to increase a more diverse representation of students in CS courses.

Technology or Computational Component

The computational ideas are more around the ethical and exclusionary elements of CS careers and degrees. Some ideas around CS education would be helpful, but not necessary. Knowledge of Indiana HS requirements would also be helpful but not necessary.
