Project Description
The periodic table of elements from chemistry organizes atoms by their protons, neutrons, and electrons. When these subatomic particles are forced to live on 2-dimensional shapes like surfaces, particle-like objects called anyons can emerge from the collective quantum behavior of the system. In this project, the student will study anyons from a computational point of view and help design a web-based interactive "periodic table" that is organized by anyons and their properties.
Technology or Computational Component
In this project the student will learn how to code and how to design web pages. No previous computer experience necessary!
