Project Description
I have multiple projects currently in progress to study strategic leaders' responses to crisis situations, notably COVID-19. Governments and companies both varied in their responses and I am considering individual and economic factors that are associated with faster or more substantial action. The student will be involved in identifying additional variables to include in our models and examining their impact. I am particularly interested in gathering and analyzing governors' and executives' public statements.
Technology or Computational Component
The student will have the opportunity to complete statistical analysis in the statistics package STATA and linguistic analysis in the package developed by colleagues here at IU, CATScanner.
