Learn how women impacted cybersecurity.

According to IBM, "Cybersecurity is the practice of protecting critical systems and sensitive information from digital attacks...cybersecurity measures are designed to combat threats against networked systems and applications, whether those threats originate from inside or outside of an organization."

With cyberattacks and cybercrimes being reported on daily in the news cycle, the field of cybersecurity is "hot" right now. Yet, women represented just 20% of the global cybersecurity workforce In 2019 (source). This may cause some to think that women are new to the field.

But, that's not the case. Since the early 20th century, women have been cybersecurity trailblazers. In this section of our website, we've gathered a lot of information about the history of women in the field, or Cybersecurity HERstory, if you will.

We hope you enjoy our research, found in the links below.
