Advocating for a humanistic perspective on technological interventions, the club positions itself as a hub for women keen on examining the intersections of technology with art, narrative, science, and various forms of multimedia.
The club's objectives extend to spotlighting the role of women in science fiction, encouraging members to use the genre as a tool to reimagine the potentials of emerging technologies. The 2024 schedule kicks off in January with a screening event, aligning with National Science Fiction Day. Subsequent months will feature engaging activities such as a VR headset game highlighting the intersection of race, gender, and technology in honor of Black History Month, and recommendations of science fiction materials celebrating women's contributions during Women's History Month.
