Dr. Jennifer Laherty, Head of Sciences for the IU Libraries, has been described using words such as “encouraging,” “approachable” and “attentive.” She was nominated as an advocate and mentor in three capacities: a fellow manager, a fellow faculty member and a fellow instructor, and her nominators all recognized the same qualities in her including: advocacy, passion and the drive to always go above and beyond.
As one nominee stated, “Jen believed in me at some key moments when I didn’t believe in myself.” For the impact that she’s had and will continue to have as a mentor, the Center of Excellence for Women and Technology is proud to honor Dr. Jennifer Laherty as our Outstanding Faculty Mentor / Advocate Award winner for 2020.
