Entrepreneur And Tech Lead Intern

Job Summary

The Entrepreneurs & Tech Student Alliance Team encourages and offers IU women the opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship linked to technology. By connecting and developing a community network of like-minded students, faculty, alumnae, and experienced professionals, potential budding entrepreneurs can use the network to grow in knowledge, confidence, and ability to launch and participate in women-owned startups.

Responsibilities:

  • The lead intern, with the support of the faculty champion, will launch, build, and grow an engaged learning community of undergraduate and graduate women students interested in entrepreneurship and technology.
  • Create a strategic plan for the year which includes mission, goals, marketing, implementation plan, and desired outcomes.
  • Schedule events, workshops, speakers, and other activities for the IU community to further common interests.
  • Supervise two interns who will assist in the development of this community.
  • Provide timely reports regarding marketing plans, attendance, and assessment information following various programs.
  • Advocate for women and underrepresented groups in the entrepreneurial and tech arena.

All student employees are required to:

  • Attend mandatory Leadership Training on August 23-24, 2024.
  • Attend and present at our annual Summit, scheduled for 3/7 and 3/8, 2025.
  • Attend Intern Celebrations on 12/6/24 from 4:30-6:30pm and 4/27/25 from 5:30-7:30pm.

Qualifications

General

  • Must be a current IU Bloomington student
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong communication and project management/organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in partnership with the team
  • Passionate about sharing enthusiam for technology

 

Preferred

  • Experience in entrepreneurship and technology.  
  • Knowledgeable about the use of social media.  

Schedule and Pay

Work Schedule

An average of 8-10 hours per week.
