Announcing the Ethical AI Podcast

Wednesday, September 14, 2022

Join Laurie McRobbie for a new podcast series featuring conversations with IU faculty in different disciplines discussing ethical issues surrounding the use of AI technologies in the classroom, in their research, and generally in their fields of expertise. Episodes one and two are now available.

Episode one, Framing the Topic, features three faculty members, Vivian Halloran, Nikki Pohl, and Beth Plate, and discusses the ethical and equity issues that arise with the application and use of AI technologies and why it’s essential to look at AI through the lens of equity and inclusion.

Episode two, Demystifying the Technology, features a discussion with David Crandall and Sam Goree about AI technologies themselves with an eye to helping a lay audience understand terminology, how the technologies function in the real world, and how we interact with them.
