Former Center Intern Named Miss Indiana

Former Center Black Women & Technology Intern A'Niyah Birdsong has been named the 2021 Miss Indiana. Photo courtesy A'Niyah Birdsong

Anderson Indiana native and IU Alumna A'Niyah Birdsong was crowned Miss Indiana on Monday, July 26, 2021 at the Paramount Theater in Anderson. She graduated from IU in 2017.

During her senior year, A'Niyah was crowned Miss Indiana University. Watch a video of her talent performance highlighting science.

She will represent Indiana in the Miss USA 2021 pageant at the Paradise Cove Theater of River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 29, 2021

Birdsong is a pharmaceutical sales representative with Eli Lilly & Company.

Birdsong served as an intern for the Black Women & Technology Student Alliance Team for the IU Center of Excellence for Women & Technology during her senior year at IU.
