Job Summary

The Entrepreneurs & Tech Student Alliance Team encourages and offers IU (Indiana University) women the opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship linked to technology. By connecting and developing a community network of like-minded students, faculty, alumnae, and experienced professionals, potential budding entrepreneurs can use the network to grow in knowledge, confidence, and ability to launch and participate in women-owned startups.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with and assist the lead intern to launch, build, and grow an engaged learning community of undergraduate and graduate women students interested in entrepreneurship and technology.
  • Assist in the creation of a strategic plan for the year including mission, goals, marketing, implementation plan, and desired outcomes.
  • Schedule events, workshops, speakers, and other activities for the IU community to further common interests.
  • Utilize tech platforms to grow hard skills in related fields as a team.
  • Help provide timely reports regarding marketing plans, attendance, and assessment information following various programs.
  • Advocate for women and underrepresented groups in the entrepreneurship and tech arena.
  • Submit weekly progress reports to Lead Intern.

All student employees are required to:

  • Attend weekly meeting with lead intern and staff champion.
  • Attend mandatory Leadership Training on August 28th and 29th, 2026.
  • Attend and present at our annual Summit, scheduled for 2/27 and 2/27, 2026.
  • Attend Intern Celebrations on 12/5/25 from 4:30–6:30 p.m. and 4/26/26 from 5:30–7:30 p.m.

Qualifications

General

  • Must be a current IU Bloomington student
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
  • Strong communication and project management/organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in partnership with the team
  • Passionate about sharing enthusiasm for technology

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior leadership experience.
  • Experience with entrepreneurship and technology.
  • Knowledgeable about the use of social media and marketing.

Schedule and Pay

Work Schedule

An average of 3-5 hours per week.
