Makerspaces are collaborative spaces that provide access to tools and supplies for exploring, tinkering, and creating. This session will highlight research surrounding women's participation in makerspaces and discuss opportunities for women to engage in the greater "Maker Movement".

Leanne Nay

Leanne Nay is IU’s Digital Engagement Librarian. As part of the Scholars’ Commons Department, her research interests include makerspaces, digital media, design thinking, and digital scholarship. One of her recent projects include developing the Wells Library Mini Makerspace. Leanne frequently speaks and leads workshops on topics related to technology and libraries.
