Kaz Shindle is a 3rd year doctoral student in the Gender Studies Department.
Kaz received a degree in Biology with minors in Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies, Chemistry, and German from the University of Pittsburgh. They are currently a third year doctoral student in the Department of Gender Studies here at IU. Their research focuses on trans studies, science, technology and society studies, and sexuality studies. Kaz is particularly interested in the function of the DSM as a means of pathologization and a means to access care, specifically for transgender individuals.
