Jayla Langford is a first year Ph.D. Candidate in the Higher Education and Student Affairs program at Indiana University - Bloomington. Jayla serves as a Project Associate at the Center for IU’s Postsecondary Research (CPR) with The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) Project Services. Jayla is originally from Louisville, Kentucky. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University in Mathematics with minors in Communications & African American Studies. She also holds a Master of Science in Education degree from IU in Higher Education & Student Affairs. She is committed to helping students of color discover their own passions to leave their legacy on their college campuses. Jayla’s main career goal is to become a STEM Director for minorities at a university, as well as, a Dean of Students or Provost. Her hobbies and interests include, exercising, line dancing, and spending time with friends.
